Having issues with Cadence? This guide covers common problems and their solutions.
Sign-In Issues
Can't sign in with Discord
Solution:
- Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser
- Check that you're not blocking third-party cookies
- Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
- Use a different browser to test if it's browser-specific
- Make sure you're clicking "Authorize" on Discord's page
"Account already exists" error
Solution: This means you already have an account. Try signing in instead of creating a new account. If you've forgotten, use the "Sign in" option.
Event Issues
Event link not working
Solution:
- Make sure you copied the full link
- Check if the event was deleted or the team was removed
- Verify you have permission to view the event
- Try opening the link in an incognito/private window
Can't see availability heatmap
Solution:
- Make sure at least one person has marked their availability
- Check that the date range and time window are set correctly
- Refresh the page - the heatmap updates in real-time
- Try a different browser if the issue persists
Notification Issues
Not receiving Discord notifications
Solution:
- Check that Discord is still connected in your settings
- Verify notifications are enabled for the specific event/team
- Check Discord's notification settings - make sure DMs aren't blocked
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting Discord
- Check if you're in quiet hours mode
Team Issues
Can't invite members
Solution:
- Check that you have Admin or Owner role in the team
- Verify you haven't reached the member limit for your plan
- Make sure you're entering Discord usernames or emails correctly
- Check if the team has invite restrictions enabled
Member limit reached
Solution: Upgrade to Premium to increase your member limit, or remove inactive members to make room for new ones.
Performance Issues
Page loading slowly
Solution:
- Check your internet connection
- Clear your browser cache
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere
- Try a different browser
- Check if Cadence is experiencing issues (check our status page)
