Creating an account with Cadence is quick and easy. We use Discord for authentication, so you can sign in with your existing Discord account.
Signing In with Discord
To create your account:
- Click the "Sign in with Discord" button on the homepage or any page
- You'll be redirected to Discord to authorize Cadence
- Review the permissions (we only request basic profile information)
- Click "Authorize" to complete the sign-in
- You'll be redirected back to Cadence with your account created
What Information Do We Access?
When you sign in with Discord, we access:
- Your Discord username and avatar
- Your Discord email address (if available)
- Your Discord user ID (for account linking)
We use this information to create your profile and send you notifications. We never post to Discord on your behalf or access your servers without permission.
Account Management
Once your account is created, you can:
- Update your display name and preferences in Settings
- Manage your notification preferences
- View and manage your teams and events
- Revoke Discord access at any time through Discord's app settings
Troubleshooting
Can't sign in? Make sure you're allowing pop-ups in your browser, as Discord's authorization window opens in a pop-up. If you're still having issues, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
Want to disconnect Discord? You can revoke Cadence's access through Discord's Authorized Apps settings. Note that you'll need to reconnect to continue using Cadence.
